Renee Moorefield - Wisdom Works - CEO

Renee Moorefield, Ph.D., MCC (Founder, Partner, & CEO)

Renee founded Wisdom Works on the belief that business leaders hold the key to a global shift in human consciousness. They are most effective when they explore leadership and lifestyle strategies aimed not just at healthy profits, but also healthy people and a healthy world. An established speaker and writer, Renee has addressed international conferences, published dozens of articles, and co-wrote the book Driven by Wellth: The 7 Essentials for Healthy, Sustainable Results in 21st Century Business & Leadership. Renee's trilogy of degrees reflects the core principles of Wisdom Works: she holds a doctorate in spirituality (with a focus on integral leadership), a master's in business and human relations, and a bachelor's in physiology and health education. She is an ICF Master Certified Coach and is certified in Spiral Dynamics. She also holds a certification in Global Strategy from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

More About Renee
  • My proudest achievement is... the birth of Wisdom Works is definitely one of my top. Founding this company was a declaration of my personal belief that health and wellness are absolutely essential to the evolution of people everywhere, to well-managed companies and to the welfare of our planet. It felt important for me to make that declaration in a public manner, such as the creation of an entrepreneurial company. My aspiration, then and now, was to lead a company that could teach and role model the values and practices of health and sustainability.

  • I love to work with clients who... love to learn. Clients who are insatiably curious and have a drive to grow for the benefit of themselves and others are an absolute joy to support.

  • My least favorite aspect of work is... that, at times, I overwork. I neglect taking breaks, I become stressed, I forget to use the same wellness and sustainability tools that I teach clients. (Then, thank goodness, I remember!)

  • The #1 thing I do for my own health is... exercise. Hiking on a mountain trail, running or walking with a good friend, cycling with my husband … exercise helps my body, yes, but mostly it helps my spirit. The wider world which I've genuinely experienced so far has largely been by foot or bike. Exercise expands my horizons, helps me de-stress and center myself, and reminds me that I'm part of a much larger, evolving global community.

  • My favorite places in the world are... any place my husband is sharing with me at that moment.
